Clean Solar Solutions have been shortlisted for the O&M Provider of the Year Award at the 2017 Solar Power Portal Awards. The black-tie event is now in it’s fifth year and is to be held in the Hilton Metropole Hotel at Birmingham on 4th October. The winners of the awards will be announced during the gala dinner ceremony. The awards highlight the biggest names in the solar industry and recognise the achievements of people, projects, communities and companies who make the solar industry a success.
Steve Williams, Managing Director of Clean Solar Solutions beams “We are proud to have beaten off stiff competition in one of the new categories for 2017. With so many O&M providers now in the UK, to make it to the last 4 companies is a real achievement for us. Clean Solar Solutions was only ‘born’ in 2013 when there were no other UK-based solar panel cleaning companies. So to ignite and influence the solar panel cleaning sector as a whole and then expand our range of O&M services has been a very enjoyable challenge. We have now reached scale and although we are up against some big-hitters in this category, we hope to do enough to scoop the award.”
The O&M provider of the year awarded is to recognise providers or contractors that have exceeded expectations in ensuring the UK’s solar infrastructure remains not just operational, but optimised to perform above expectations.
The awards ceremony runs in conjunction with the ‘Solar & Storage Live’ event to be held at Birmingham NEC from the 3rd – 5th October 2017.
The 2016 awards ceremony was attended by more than 600 representatives from across the solar industry. The awards ceremony will be conducted by Robert Llewellyn, better known as ‘Kryten’ in the Red Dwarfs sci-fi series. Llewellyn is known for being a stanch advocate of green energy and a backer of electric vehicle technology.
